802.11g Wireless AP with WPA Support
With integrated 802.11g Wireless Access Point
in the BIPAC-7500G series, the device offers quick
and easy access among wired network, wireless
network and broadband connection (ADSL) with single
device simplicity. In addition to providing 54
Mbps 802.11g link rate, it can also interoperate
with existing 802.11b equipment. The router supports
WPA feature, it increases the level of data protection
and access control for Wireless LAN.
802.11g Nitro Speed Mode
Conventionally, when an 802.11b device is present
inside a 802.11g environment, the performance
of the entire wireless network can be brought
down to the same level as the 802.11b speed (or
worse). This has been a particularly challenging
issue in mixed standard wireless networks. The
Billion 7500G is equipped with the latest Nitro
Mode technology to lessen the b+g collision problem.
Nitro mode adds "RTD/CTS" packet in
front of the "11g" packets to avoid
collisions and interference with "11b"
clients. The end result is higher overall performance
in the real world environment.
QoS: The secret to keeping your 'net connection
fast and responsive
QoS gives you full control over which types of
outgoing data traffic should be given priority
by the router, ensuring important data like gaming
packets, customer information, or management information
move through the router at lightning speed, even
under heavy load. The 7500G's QoS features are
configurable by source IP address, destination
IP address, protocol, and port. You can throttle
the speed at which different types of outgoing
data pass through the router, to ensure P2P users
don't saturate upload bandwidth, or office browsing
doesn't bring client web serving to a halt. In
addition, or alternatively, you can simply change
the priority of different types of upload data
and let the router sort out the actual speeds.
High Performance Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Connection
The BIPAC-7500G series support embedded VPN protocols,
including PPTP client/server, IPSec (IKE, 3DES
and AES) and L2TP within IPSec, for establishing
a private encrypted tunnel over the public Internet
to ensure transmission security between two or
more sites. With built-in DES/3DES accelerator,
the router enhances the IPSec VPN performance
significantly.
High-speed Internet Access with ADSL
The BIPAC-7500G complies with ADSL and ADSL2 standards
for worldwide deployment and supports downstream
rates of up to 12 Mbps and upstream rates of up
to 1 Mbps. It is designed for office and residential
users, enabling high-speed Internet connections.
Ease of Use with Quick Installation Wizard and
Auto-scan ADSL Settings
The Web-based Graphic User Interface (GUI) allows
easy installation of the BIPAC-7500G series. With
this simple wizard and Auto-scan ADSL settings,
the end user can enter the necessary ISP information
and start surfing the Internet immediately.
SOHO Firewall Security with DoS and SPI
Along with the built-in NAT natural firewall feature,
the BIPAC-7500G series also provides advanced
hacker pattern-filtering protection. It can automatically
detect and block Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
The BIPAC-7500G series are built with Stateful
Packet Inspection (SPI) to determine if a data
packet is allowed through the firewall to the
private LAN.
